The best Fill-in blog yet!

So I'm sat here at 00:03 on Monday morning, happy as Larry with me ice cold Magers

It has been quite possibly the best day for quite a while. Seeing as it [was] Sunday, I didn't feel any need to wake before 11, so I dragged my sorry self up at 11:34 to commence making myself remotely presentable to take Martin to work at 12:30. Not being the most observant during this time, it took me until 12:40 when I got home to realise that no one else was there! It turned out that mum had taken Milo to the vets for X-Rays and Dad had gone somewhere else. No matter. I had to stay at home and keep an eye on Joop, which is always good fun. With the additional temptation of a sliced and diced apple, I had him half-sat in the leather arm chair with his bum in one corner, head and paws over the opposite arm and back legs hanging off the front! Funny enough, but I was crawling around on the floor jabbing the poor mutt sneakily
obviously causing huge frustrating and great humor on my part! Poor dog. Anyway, 3pm was fast approaching, so a quick shower and off to see my lovely Lydia!

Seeing as me and Lydia were short on ideas for activities to fill the afternoon before 'TopCorn' at 8, we decided to visit the ice cream shop and ducks of Beaulieu. However, not all went swimmingly. At the newsagents, there was a small error in communications between me and the shop-lady in purchasing Lydia's ice cream. I asked for the requested Medium sized, Raspberry Ripple ice cream by saying, '2 scoop, medium raspberry ripple please', to which a Ginormous 3/4 scoop mound of ice cream was produced, much to Lydias horror and dismay.

I thought this was hilarious! Obviously I had to help out at this point, ice cream was in danger and tragedy had to be averted! Ice cream severely reduced - Lydia, slightly happier! We plodded down to the riverside with our not-white full size loaf of fattening white bread, and persisted in throwing lumps at the seagulls. The absence of ducklings became apparent when we noticed the ducks didn't stand a chance against the seagulls at getting any bread whatsoever, so they clearly can't do too well at protecting them against predators. 2 and a half ice creams and a whole loaf of time later, we retreated back to the car, moments before it started to rain, which was lucky!

Back at base, me and Lydia settled down with a cup of tea and I was read a couple of pages out of Jane Eyre by Lydia, about the main character describing the misery at her all-girls school, such as the cold walk to church on a Saturday, and her measly half slices of bread for dinner etc etc. My lacking capability of recital is in no way a reflection of the mesmerising reading prowess of Lydia! *brownie points, brownie points*!!

8pm arrived- TopCorn!!! The usual hour of motoring madness from TV's three musketeers! The highlight being James having to drive the Morris Marina (cream and beige exterior, brown interior) - the highlight of Ians early driving years! : P

The last trip of the day came after, where me, Lydia and The Doood ventured out to the Bold Forester for the last few drinks of the weekend and a good old natter.

Back home at 11:00, and after bidding Dom farewell, me and Lydia had one of the best half hours ever, without being too graphic, we had a good heartfelt chat and reminisce in the car <3>
